This article explains how to transfer your domain to Ace Intl Media, what you need before starting, and what happens during the transfer process.

1. What Is a Domain Transfer
A domain transfer moves your domain from your current registrar to Ace Intl Media.

When you transfer a domain:

  • Management moves to your Ace Intl Media client portal

  • Your domain is typically extended by 1 year

  • Ownership remains unchanged

This makes it easier to manage domains, billing, and services in one place.

2. Before You Start a Transfer
Before transferring a domain, make sure:

  • The domain has been registered for more than 60 days

  • The domain is not expired

  • The domain is unlocked at the current registrar

  • You have the transfer (EPP/Auth) code

  • The registrant email address is accessible

Without these, the transfer may fail or be delayed.

3. Starting a Domain Transfer
To transfer a domain:

  1. Log in to the client portal

  2. Go to Domains

  3. Select Transfer Domain

  4. Enter the domain name

  5. Provide the transfer (EPP/Auth) code

  6. Complete checkout

This is a single domain transfer per order.

4. Transfer Approval Process
After submitting the transfer:

  • A confirmation email is sent to the registrant email address

  • You must approve the transfer when prompted

  • The current registrar may send an additional confirmation email

Transfers will not proceed until approvals are completed.

5. Transfer Timeframe
Most domain transfers:

  • Complete within 5–7 days

  • Some extensions complete faster

  • Delays may occur if approval emails are missed

You can track transfer status in the client portal.

6. What Happens After Transfer Completion
Once the transfer is complete:

  • The domain appears as Active in your portal

  • The domain expiry date is extended by one year

  • You can manage DNS, nameservers, and renewals

  • Existing DNS settings usually remain unchanged

7. Important Notes

  • Some country-code domains (e.g. certain ccTLDs) have special transfer rules

  • Transfers cannot be cancelled once approved

  • Failed transfers are typically refunded or credited, depending on registry rules

8. Getting Help with Domain Transfers
If you need assistance:

  • Open a support ticket via the client portal

  • Include the domain name and transfer status

  • Select the domain support department
